Makhni Dal is a popular delicacy from the Punjab region of India made with black lentils and red kidney beans. It has a smooth velvety texture and lovely flavor. Traditionally it is made with generous amounts of cream and butter but we have captured the flavor without adding the excess fat.
Preparation instruction: Thaw Monsoon Kitchens (MK) Makhni Dal in the refrigerator or hot water bath. Empty product into container and heat to an internal temperature of 165°F.
Caution: Do not place bag in steamer. Failure to follow directions could result in injury and loss of product.
