McCormick Culinary Imitation Lemon Extract delivers the flavor of lemon rind and is an ideal substitute for lemon juice. Use McCormick Culinary Imitation Lemon Extract to add flavor to breads, cakes, cookies, muffins, pies, frostings, and glazes. Use in custards, sorbet, sauces, marinades, yogurt, mousse and compound butters.
Preparation instruction: Lemon Extract has the flavor characteristics of the lemon rind. It is not a substitute for lemon juice in a recipe. Lemon Extract is slightly cloudy to clear yellow and has a typical odor and flavor. Extracts complement and intensify the ingredients with which they are used. Fruit flavors, like lemon, have a more mild taste.
