Squares and rhombuses are both four-sided shapes with all sides equal. But that's where things differ. Squares are special: their angles are all perfect 90 degrees, making them look like boxes. Diagonals in a square are also straight across and the same length.

Rhombses are less rigid. While opposite sides have matching angles, they don't have to be 90 degrees. This allows for more variety in their shape. Unlike squares, rhombus diagonals aren't guaranteed to be equal in length, though they do always intersect at a 90-degree angle. Put simply, a square is a special kind of rhombus with stricter angle rules.
