18% chrome stainless flatware has 38% more chromium than 13% chrome. Since 1984 Walco has used nothing less than 18% chrome for all forks and spoons. Our heavy weight and medium weight quality patterns are machine finished for smooth, polished surfaces. Fork tines and spoon bowls are graded for added tensile strength and balance. The knives are 420 type stainless and electropolished. All 18% chrome patterns are magnetic, protecting your flatware investment with the use of magnetic retrieval systems.
