Item Description: Dehydrated and freeze-dried vegetables retain most of their natural food flavor, color, and nutrients. Their fresh-like quality attributes are preserved while adding shelf stability. Because the products are processed at just the right moment, the quality, color, flavor, and appearance of fresh is assured in a convenient and shelf-stable form. Rehydrated vegetables have a higher concentration of solids, color, and flavor than fresh, canned, or frozen vegetables. Dehydrated and freeze-dried vegetables can be used in soups, sauces, casseroles, and meat, poultry, salads, or rice dishes. Preparation: Always use dry measuring spoons or cups. Dehydrated vegetables take approx 10 minutes to rehydrate in hot or cold water or other liquid. The larger the vegetable size the longer the rehydration. Dehydrated vegetables should be stored in a cool, dry place. Heat will rob them of flavor and they should never be stored near a direct source of heat. Exposure to moisture may begin the rehydration process thus decreasing shelf stability. They should be protected from flavor loss and moisture by making sure the containers are tightly closed after every use. Under ideal storage conditions, Dehydrated Bell Pepper Dices will retain their flavor quality and strength for up to one year.
