For as long as the Bush family can remember, Kathleen Bush made the tastiest baked beans from a secret recipe she wouldn`t share with a soul. Whether it was a special occasion or just a family gathering, Kathleen would always serve her famous baked beans and the family just couldn`t get enough. Family members would even jest about selling the recipe, saying, `If you put this taste in cans, they`d fly off the shelves!` Condon Bush, grandson of founder A.J. Bush, with his co-workers, Tom Rugotzke and Beatrice Piel, recreated his mother Kathleen Bush`s `Secret Family Recipe` in the Augusta, Wisconsin, plant. Condon decided then and there that it was time to share the taste of his mom`s baked beans with America, and all three employees made a pact to keep the recipe a secret. Several years later, Condon passed the secret family recipe down to his son, Jay Bush. Jay never told another soul until his dog Duke came along, and he`s not talking...yet.
