I was born and raised in a small mountain town in Pennsylvania, I spent most of my time building forts and trying to stay out of trouble. Ive made my home in Boulder, Colorado where I still play in forts and just cannot seem to stay out of trouble. Throughout my growing an nurturing, my family owned/operated a small natural foods store where I acquired an early awareness, education and appreciation for natural foods and products. The majority of my childhood was spent lost in the Pennsylvania wilderness and being asked by my mother if I wanted to eat or have my vegetables juiced with dinner. With an open mind and liberal heart, I attended Dickinson College and earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies. My upbringing, education and -of course- my mother, have instilled within me a deeply rooted understanding and connection to their natural environment. Supporting organic and natural products controls one path of exposure from harmful and unnecessary chemical additives found in their foods. Propagating natural and organic products conveys my commitment to the health of my customers and to the sustainability of their shared environment. This company and mission are an extension of my lifestyle, and peanut butter a main component of my vegetarian diet. But most importantly I absolutely love peanut butter. If i were not so aggravated and bored with todays peanut butter, I would not have started making my own. Did I mention that I am a peanut butter addict and constantly find myself roaming around the house, spoon in hand, looking for a jar to dig into?
