Their tradition of good taste dates back to 1909 when Harry V. Warehime, founder of Hanover Canning Company, their parent company until 1980, began producing Olde Tyme Pretzels for the Hanover Pretzel Company. A long and substantial history lead to many additions to the Snyders of Hanover line. California-style corn tortilla chips and flavored pretzel pieces burst onto the market. Honey Mustard and Onion flavors, Buttermilk Ranch and Cheddar Cheese are a few of their flavors. Their products continue to make waves for their quality, value, and unique taste. In 2004, Pumpernickel and Onion Pretzel Sticks were introduced. Only a year later, Health magazine included the sophisticated snack in its Best of Food awards. They added Krunchers!TM Kettle Chips, O-KE-DOKE TM popcorn, and Jays TM Potato Chips to their portfolio in late 2007. They attribute their growth to providing quality snack products at fair prices to their consumers. Their products are distributed nationwide using a combination of their store door distribution system with direct delivery to grocery stores, a distributor network, and a vending and foodservice sales division. They also have a strong international business with sales on every continent except Africa and Antarctica.
