Sixty years ago, my father, John Ventre, Jr., personally prepared the first batch of Enricos Spaghetti Sauce. Back then, each batch of sauce was gently mixed by hand, carefully hand poured into glass jars; and then each jar was sealed by hand to assure full closure and freshness.
In 1938, Dad also started Ventre Packing Company; the company which has been making the Enricos Sauces ever since. Now in his ninth decade, Dad serves as CEO of the company he founded.
