Edamame

Edamame - Japanese for twig bean - are green soy beans picked just before they have ripened. Some call edamame the super vegetable because it is the only vegetable that contains all nine essential amino acids. This makes edamame a complete protein source, similar to meat or eggs. Edamame by itself makes a tasty nutritious snack, especially when sprinkled with a bit of kosher salt. Add some to your favorite stir fry or salad to create a well rounded, nutritious meal.
